Islam Awareness Week will run from Monday 27th March to Sunday 2nd April 2017.
It is part of a UK-wide initiative of the Islamic Society of Britain running annually since 1994.
We aim to engage people of all faiths and none, in achieving a greater understanding of Islam and celebrate the merits and diversity of Muslim Scots as an integrated part of the Scottish community.
In previous years Islam Awareness Week has brought together over 50 Scottish organisations – Muslim, of different faiths and none – to organise a week of diverse, stimulating and reflective events which provided an opportunity to promote the many commonly shared values of Islam, as well as the contributions made by Muslims to our society.
Note: Details of Mosque open days and community events in other parts of Scotland including Edinburgh, Dundee, Aberdeen and Inverness will be posted soon.
